About this course

An introduction to the concept of foiling, the equipment and all the knowledge you need to experience the thrill of ‘take off’ for the first time. Progress the pre-learnt skills of Wingsurfing, taking them to the next level and learning to wingfoil. This course will assist you in understanding and achieving your first flights in both directions and gaining the knowledge to increase flight time.

Course fundamentals

Minimum ageNo RYA minimum age · Providers may set their own age rules, especially for under-18s
Duration8-10 hours, delivered over a number of short sessions or full days
Course contentProgress the pre-learnt skills of Wingsurfing, taking them to the next level and learning to wingfoil. This course will assist you in understanding and achieving your first flights in both directions and gaining the knowledge to increase flight time.
Certificate or qualificationThe appropriate RYA course completion certificate is awarded following successful completion of the course and its prescribed assessment.

Knowledge or skills to a stated level

Wing skills to the standard of Improve your Wingsurfing (experience foiling in a similar foiling discipline may be accepted by the centre)
