Course Overview

The RYA Youth Windsurfing Stage 3 course takes young windsurfers to the next level by introducing more advanced techniques. Participants practice upwind and downwind sailing, refining their balance and sail control. The course also includes basic navigation skills and an introduction to planing. By the end, participants will have the confidence to windsurf independently in a variety of conditions.

Fundamentals

Course Content

Enhance your skills afloat, improving tacking and gybing, and learning new skills such as basic harness technique and beach starting.

Minimum Age
Centre Specific (Please contact your local Training Centre)

Minimum Duration
8-10 hours, delivered over a number of short sessions or full days.

Certificate Issuing Criteria

Be able to windsurf on all points of sail in various conditions, knowing when to tack and gybe, use the harness and beachstart.
