Two days of hands-on recovery and fleet management techniques for dinghies and windsurfers for those operating in a training or racing environment. This course provides the skills required when acting as an escort craft, safety boat or coach boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers or canoes or for racing or training activities. It includes rescue techniques and elements of race management and mark laying. It is strongly recommended that a rescue crew member hold a first aid certificate (or have first aid experience).

OnBoard is the RYA’s children’s sailing and windsurfing programme. It allows children to try watersports through their local club or training centre in a safe, fun and structured environment.
Open to all children, OnBoard is a beginner programme that gets people on the water for the first time. Whether you would like to learn how to sail or windsurf, no experience or equipment is needed to get you started. The programme is progressive, and you can work through the RYA Youth Schemes.
As well as getting fresh air and exercise, children’s sailing and windsurfing offer various invaluable life skills, from problem-solving to confidence and teamwork.
