About this course

An online course aimed at Dinghy and Windsurfing Instructors and Seniors, and anyone else involved in working with children and vulnerable adults at an RYA club or training centre. Newly qualifying Dinghy/Windsurfing Instructors and Senior Instructors are required to complete this course prior to their instructor course.

Course fundamentals

Minimum ageMinimum age: 16
DurationThis course is equivalent to classroom training of approximately three hours. However, the benefit of learning online is that you can work through it at your own speed. It may take you more or less time than that.
Course contentAn introduction to safeguarding and child protection.
Certificate or qualificationThe appropriate RYA course completion certificate is awarded following successful completion of the course and its prescribed assessment.
