Course Level:
Beginner
An introductory course providing a basic introduction to winging. This course is split into two: flying the wing ashore and getting afloat. Together, these sessions provide the fundamentals of wing control, translating its power into forward momentum and steering whilst reinforcing the core skills of board balance to enable you to travel across the wind a short distance, gybe and return to the start point.
No Previous Experience Required
Having achieved these skills ashore, you will use a board such as a windsurfer (with centreboard) or WindSUP. You will be able to launch and land safely, sailing across the wind, steering towards and away from the wind, and carrying out a basic gybe.
